Pilates Mat Classes via Zoom and other video meeting platforms have been a godsend for those sheltering at home during the Covid-19 pandemic. Having a yoga mat and a couple of towels of different sizes for added comfort when needed is all you really need. If you have props such as the Magic Circle, yoga blocks, foam rollers and squishy balls, have them nearby for added interest and challenge. It's a wonderful option that I think is here to stay!

DIRECTIONS TO SIGN UP FOR CLASS ONLINE THROUGH THE PILATES SPACE.
1. GO TO MINDBODY ONLINE AND SEARCH FOR “THE PILATES SPACE” IN GREAT BARRINGTON MA. YOU WILL NEED TO CREATE A USER NAME AND PASSWORD IF YOU ARE NOT ALREADY IN OUR SYSTEM.
2. SIGN UP FOR CLASS AT LEAST 15 MIN BEFORE THE START OF CLASS AND MAKE PAYMENT. IF YOU SIGN UP ANY LATER WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT YOUR INFORMATION WILL BE PROCESSED IN TIME FOR YOUR CLASS.
3. NEXT GO TO ZOOM.COM/US AND CREATE ANOTHER USER NAME AND PASSWORD.
4. YOU WILL GET AN EMAIL WITH A ZOOM LINK AND PASSWORD FOR CLASS 15 MIN BEFORE CLASS. ONCE YOU CLICK THAT LINK, IT WILL BRING YOU TO THE CLASS.
5. SET UP YOUR SPACE, HAVE WATER AND PROPS (IF YOU HAVE ANY) READY AND ENJOY THE CLASS!

Pilates with Props at Simon's Rock

This class will resume when the gym reopens for group classes.
Pilates with Props is a beginner to intermediate-level mat class using big and small exercise balls, Pilates Magic Circles, flex bands and yoga blocks to give feedback from the limbs (including head/neck) to the core muscles and core to limbs. The result? A feeling of wholeness and feeling connected. For beginners, it's a great way to discover "the Pilates body," long and strong and graceful! For more experienced Pilates practitioners, it's another "take" on familiar Pilates mat exercises. Give it a try!

Sharon's Happy Place is her cozy, rural Pilates studio on her property near the Alford/Great Barrington town line--a tranquil and perfect setting for one-on-one workouts. It's a little small for group workouts though!
In the summer of 2019 Sharon started offering group classes at The Pilates Space in downtown Great Barrington, a spacious and lovely studio owned by colleagues she likes and admires.
If you like working out on the Pilates Reformer, why not save some money and have some fun by doing a group class?
If you've never done a Reformer class before, it is recommended that you take at least one private session ($100) to get comfortable with the Reformer, or consider doing the New Client Intro Package with Sharon at The Pilates Space: 3 private sessions for $240 with a one month expiration..

An excellent workout with a Pelvic Floor focus. Gently warm up and tune into these all-important muscles, then do familiar Pilates, yoga, and fitness exercises using the pFilates technique. Helps with incontinence, prolapse, and pelvic pain. Experience the freedom and confidence that comes with pelvic floor muscle awareness and control!
